Our Curriculum

We have created our own bespoke to ensure coverage of the National Curriculum whilst also ensuring the curriculum meets the needs of the children and ensures that they receive a wide range of experiences. Despite being a small school, we aim to ensure that all children get the same amount of opportunities that those in a larger school will have and ensure depth and breadth in all areas of the curriculum.

Due to the size of our school, we work in mixed year groups. EYFS and KS1 are taught in one class known as Acorns/infants and KS2 are taught in one class known as Oaks/Juniors. We have worked hard to ensure our curriculum is as progressive as possible: we differentiate in lessons for different year groups where needed and ,where it is required, we may split the classes to teach specific age objectives that are unsuitable for certain year groups. The KS1 wider curriculum is taught on a two-year topic cycle and the KS2 wider curriculum is taught on a four-year topic cycle.

Please use the links below to find out more about our wider curriculum. If you have any questions, or would like to know more about our curriculum, please speak to your child’s class teacher or contact the school office.
