Leavers Assembly

It was so wonderful to see our year 6 and Mrs Richards again, at our Leavers Assembly.  We all enjoyed a celebration assembly and picnic in the church grounds.  The rain just about held off for us!  We are incredibly proud of these fantastic young people and will miss them dearly.  Good Luck at secondary school.  Go and be brilliant!!

This term we have tried out a new sport- fencing.   It has tested our co-ordination, agility and balance.

Lea Green

Year 5 and 6 had an exciting three day residential at Lea Green, which is set in beautiful Derbyshire countryside.  We all enjoyed rock climbing, team swing, orienteering and a night walk - to name but a few of the activities covered. It was a great experience for the children to develop skills in confidence, resistance, leadership and independent thinking.  Well done to you all for giving everything a go!!!

As part of our Science topic this term, we have designed an art installation which included an electrical circuit.  We discussed our ideas and had fun testing our electrical knowledge.  We were very pleased with the end products.

Fitness Day

We had a great time at Rutland Sports Centre.  We played active games, tested our strength, flexibility and co-ordination.  Lastly,  we calmed our bodies and minds, by having a go at a few yoga balances.  A very enjoyable afternoon.
