Here is a link, to excellent ideas, of ways to stay fit and healthy during lockdown.
Each week there will be a different activity to try out.
What is the Sports Premium?
The government provides funding for every primary school through the Sports Premium.
This initiative started back in 2013/14 and funding has been committed until 2020. The funding is jointly provided by the Department of Education, Health and Culture, Media and Sport. The funding goes directly into schools budgets and is aimed at improving the quality of sport and PE and increase levels of physical activity and wellbeing among children.
Each school that is eligible for the School Sports Premium receives £16,000, plus £10 per pupil each year.
The purpose of the Funding
The premium must be used to fund additional and sustainable improvements to the provision of Physical activity, PE and sport, for the benefit of primary-aged pupils, in the 2016 to 2017 academic year, to encourage the development of healthy, active lifestyles.
At Stanley Common C of E Primary we recognise the contribution of physical activity to the health and wellbeing of all our children.
