  • Monday 4 January 2021 Covid-19 School Closure As you may well be aware, the prime minister, Boris Johnson, has announced a national closure of all primary schools in England and, as a result, schools will be moving to remote learning from tomorrow. Therefore, only Critical Worker children whose parents cannot work from home and those classed as vulnerable outlined in the government guidance will be able to attend school until further notice.
  • Saturday 2 January 2021 Reopening for the New Year Dear Parents / Carers,I am writing to try to keep you all updated with the developing news about schools opening for the new term next week. The attached letter explains the current situation and I will keep you updated as soon and as best as I can. It is important to remember though, that at present (Saturday 2nd January), all children are expected to return on Tuesday 5th January.Best wishes,Mr Reeve
  • Friday 18 December 2020 12 Top Tech Tips for Christmas Our i-Vengers set the school a task - to think about important safety tips for staying safe with the technology we may receive or use over Christmas. The i-Vengers have gathered together the tips from all of the classes and compiled their 12 Top Tech Tips for Christmas.
  • Wednesday 16 December 2020 Christmas Celebration Video We are very pleased to be able to share our Christmas Celebration video with you. The children have enjoyed learning Christmas carols and songs and they have re-told the Christmas story with readings from the Bible. The children in Explorers also had a great time getting into costumes to create tableaus of the Christmas story. We hope you enjoy it and we would like to wish you a very "Merry Christmas!" 
  • Monday 14 December 2020 i-Vengers Assemble This year our school is part of an exciting project called the i-Vengers. As part of this project, two of our pupils have taken on the role of i-Vengers - champions of online safety. During the course of the year, they will be completing tasks and missions to help children, parents, staff and governors to gain a better understanding about how to stay safe online. 
  • Wednesday 9 December 2020 Christmas Dinner The children have had a really wonderful, festive dinner. The food was delicious and there was Christmas music, crackers, party poppers, paper hats and bad jokes!
  • Friday 4 December 2020 Year 2 Phonics 100% This term our Year 2 children took their Phonics Screening Check. As the children were not able to take their Year 1 Phonics Screening Check last academic year, the government required them to take it during this Autumn term. We are very pleased to be able to report that our result was 100% passed.
  • Tuesday 1 December 2020 Christmas Tree The Explorers enjoyed helping to decorate our new Christmas tree this afternoon as the school starts to get into the Christmas spirit with some Christmas activities. We're looking forward to adding some more decorations to the tree - the children will be making some of their own in class!

  • Wednesday 25 November 2020 New Books! We  were very excited this morning to receive a delivery of lots of wonderful new books for our EYFS and KS1 children. We have invested in books from the Collins Big Cat reading scheme. These books are really high quality with lots of exciting fiction and non-fiction titles. The books are fully decodable and are aligned with the Letters and Sounds phonics scheme.

  • Monday 16 November 2020 Online Learning As part of our response to the global pandemic, we are committed to maintaining children’s learning if they are required to isolate, or their year group bubble is closed. We have developed a Virtual Learning Environment (VLE) in order to be able to offer lessons and support for you and your child should the need arise.

  • Wednesday 11 November 2020 Remembrance 2020 The children have been busy this week completing work in school to help them to understand the history and context of Armistice Day. To mark the 2-minute silence at 11:00, the children assembled in the grounds of All Saints Church where wreaths and artwork made by the children were laid. The wreaths made by children in Year 3 and 4 are now being displayed as part of a display created by one of the Church’s neighbours. After returning to school, the children took part in a pre-recorded virtual service created by the children Year 5 and 6.
